request: Can you write about how Zico has a crush a big one on a actress and they appeared on a variety show and he was nervous. And she kept teasing him

a/n: this was originally supposed to be just a regular short drabble like i usually do, but i got a bit carried away haha, enjoy anyways!

being an actress that was constantly starring in new dramas, you were used to the hectic schedules of variety shows, interviews, and anything else that would further your career. to promote your latest show, your manager informed you that you would be making an appearance on running man. for the first time in a while, you were excited and genuinely looking forward to it.

riding in the car to an unknown location, you were scrolling through fan comments to kill time on the drive. “there’s going to be another guest on the show,” your manager told you, “who?” you murmured, keeping your eyes on your phone. “zico. the rapper, he’s pretty popular, have you heard of him?”

“heard of him!?” a small gasp escaped your mouth, “didn’t you hear he thinks i’m his ideal type? he mentioned that in some interview and my fans were going crazy,” you remembered their endless comments on a past instagram live. your manager chuckled at your reaction, “have fun today then y/n-ah,” she replied with a small smirk. unlike traditional managers, you two shared a close friendship and she fully supported you in everything you do. ‘yes i will,’ you thought, looking forward to today even more.

after some time, you found out you were being taken to a beach, ‘that explains why i had to dress brightly,’ you thought. stepping out of the car, you were presented with camera and a producer assistant giving you a clue to what today’s activities will be, you gave simple answers that you knew the audience would enjoy, but in your mind, you were just interested in meeting zico.

you were led to an area where the rest of the cast were. greeting everyone excitingly, you explained how you were a big fan of the variety show and smoothly promoted your new drama, as well as joking that the show would surely get more attention with you.

“we have to get the most views with you here y/n!” jaesuk said. “yah, if we don’t then you can never come on this show again! ” haha said, establishing the playful mood. after the quick jokes and introductions, sukjin spoke in a fake serious voice, “we have another guest other than the lovely y/n! please come out, famous rapper and producer, z-i-co!” he called out, initiating everyone to give a round of applause.

walking onto the set, zico waved to the cameras and then back to the rest of the cast. although he kept a cool persona in front of everyone, inside his head he was trying his best to stay calm. he mentally cursed his manager for not telling him you were gonna be on the show, he felt like he was gonna pass out the moment he laid eyes on you.

later on, everyone had to break into teams, it was no surprise you and zico were paired together for today’s mission. the main goal of today was scavenging for items, while also trying to take out other teams. because zico failed in one of the games earlier on in the show, you two were given a penalty of having “three hands”, therefore both of you had to tie your hands together.

from the start, zico was trying his best to not fanboy in front of you, but to be constantly holding hands and being the such close proximity made him nervous. doing the tasks together you knew this was your opportunity to have fun.

“zico-ah, well actually, can i just call you jiho oppa? we shouldn’t speak so formally, we’re friends right?” were your first words to him. zico nodded along shyly, feeling his face heat up.

you continued to make small talk while walking around the beach, “i always see you dressed so cooly, but isn’t it a bit much to wear all black at a beach?” you teased his outfit. the camera staff took extra shots of the both of your outfits, hopefully for viewers to find the drastic contrast entertaining. 

“hey, i didn’t know we were going to a beach!” zico defended himself, a bit too loudly. he wasn’t sure to be happy you complimented his style or be upset at his stylist for not matching with you, as if they would have any clue about your clothing decisions.

“anyways, i think we make the best pair, don’t you think so too oppa?” you winked, giving him and the camera the extra attention. you two continued small talk, playfully taking jabs at each other. “you know, you should produce the music if i get casted for another show, you’re very talented,” you complimented.

zico felt like he was being played, you were being overly nice and cute, he felt like he couldn’t handle it anymore. “yah, are you playing games on me now? are you a fan?” he teased, his face fully blushing now.

holding your hand back, stopping him from walking on, you looked up at him, “yes, i really am,” you said honestly. mesmerized by your eyes, zico took a while to realize he was staring at you for two long, breaking his gaze with a cough and by looking away.

“c’mon, we have to win this,” he said, pulling you along to continue walking with him. using your brains together, you and zico became the winners of the challenge. the prize of today’s show was a meal paid by the producers. while you were enthusiastically thanking everyone for the treat, zico couldn’t stop thinking that he was going to see you after today’s shooting. he would really faint just imagining sitting across from you for a meal.

after finally being done with the show, you took extra time to thank everyone. seeing this, zico could feel himself falling for you even harder, ‘gosh, this girl is so nice. i swear she’s perfect,’ lost in his thoughts he didn’t see you coming up to him.

“today was really fun huh jiho oppa?” you said with a small smile. attempting to not meet your eyes, he nodded along, “yea, i’m glad we won. we don’t actually have to eat together, i’m sure you’re going to be busy with promotions,” zico replied, even though he secretly wanted to spend time with you.

“what, no, it’s okay!” you reassured, placing your hand on his shoulder, making him feel shy all over again. “i want to see you again, if that’s okay?” this time nerves were evident in your voice. zico couldn’t believe what he was hearing, “really?” he said loudly, unaware of his excitement.

“yes of course, oppa,” you laughed. “y/n! we have to leave here soon, we have a photoshoot with seo joon,” your manager said surprising the both of you. she saw you two were in the middle of a conversation, “i’ll talk to the producers for a bit?” she said, giving the both of you a sly look.

“i know you follow me on instagram, but give me your number,” you blurted, handing your phone to zico. zico mentally scolded himself for being too obvious with his adoration for you. he took your phone and typed his number in, swiftly giving it back to you. he then gave you his phone and did the same for him.

with your manager reminding you again about your tight schedule, you both gave your goodbyes. pulling him into a hug, zico’s ears now fully red, you both made promises to text each other about the dinner details.

sitting in the car, you didn’t realize how wide you were smiling today, your face was even physically hurting a bit. you felt your phone vibrate and smiled seeing a text message pop up.

[3:35PM] your biggest fan: did you leave safely? sorry if i held you back from your schedule y/n-ah

you giggled reading the contact he gave himself, typing back,

[3:36PM] y/n: yes, i did, don’t worry about it!. i’m sorry if i was teasing you too much today oppa, it was mostly for the viewership, i swear!

You know what Running Man concept I wish Busted would also try?

Running Man Hunting, only this time - it's the Detectives being hunted.

If you're an OG RM fan, you'd remember this. If not, that's okay! That whole trilogy all got started with this: the members were sent on a trip, which turned out to be horror-themed because an action star named Choi Minsoo was sent out to hunt them one by one, based on the results of the previous dice game.

Fast forward the next day, all of that forgotten, Jaesuk had made a deal with Minsoo that he won't eliminate him. But Jaesuk being Jaesuk turned around and did exactly what he said he won't do.

Understandably, Minsoo was upset.

THAT catalyzed the rivalry between Jaesuk and Minsoo.

Minsoo came back two more times to get his revenge. His methods of catching Jaesuk was...terrifying, to say the least. Just a list of the things he did were:

every time he would catch Jaesuk (Grasshopper Hunting episode), he would tell him a fairy-/folk tale-like story while he had Jaesuk pinned to the ground

"kidnapped" the other members after sending Jaesuk away to an all-expenses paid dinner, a 'prize' for winning an oddly easy game (GH ep)

set up traps so it'd be easy for him to find Jaesuk. One time, when Jaesuk tripped up the alarm, Jaesuk was doused with a very strong perfume. Because of that, Minsoo could smell him and could follow the trail (GH ep)

using a dating game as bait, he lured the members into a camp at night ((Fake) Monday Couple ep)

he "kidnapped" Jaesuk's VJ and hijacked the RV that the members were on ((F)MC ep)

he separated the members into tents so it'll be easy to eliminate them ((F)MC ep)

he forced Kwangsoo and another member, Sukjin, to fight each other for survival ((F)MC ep)

because Kwangsoo won, Kwangsoo became, basically, his puppet ((F)MC ep)

There are other crazy, creepy things that Minsoo did. If those things aren't bad enough, they played Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata for the episodes he was in.

I know the detective team has a lot of enemies already, and they already have their rivals in the Genius Detective team, but it would be great if they have someone like this. Someone who would chase them out of revenge. Someone who has a score to settle with one of them specifically, but the others get helplessly pulled into the terrifying plot.

I can just imagine them in the woods: Sehun terrified out of his wits and running for his life (albeit while laughing) from an enemy they cannot see; Minyoung trying to figure out who this person is, but getting "kidnapped" after getting too close to a decisive clue; Sejeong, Jongmin, and Kwangsoo coming face-to-face with the criminal after hours of searching for their missing team members, and they listen as the criminal goes into the mandatory monologue of why he/she is doing this.

Won't that be great for a summer thriller case? 😀

“You’re group signed to Jin Studios recently, how do the other members feel knowing Dae is more than their leader now?” 

Dae hid her face on the desk as the other four Rebels members laughed, Tae Sin blicked around for a moment. 

“She’s more than our leader now?!” Tae Sin faked gasped, “She’s been bossy for years, I never noticed,” 

“I can fire you,” Dae gave him a look and Tae Sin laughed, backing down like a nervous puppy. 

“Honestly, I like it,” TK stated, “Knowing Dae is in full control-” 

“Hyung, this is a tv show, not a fanfiction,” Tae Sin snapped. 

TK’s cheeks went red as he covered his face, everyone began to laugh at the second eldest member’s comment. Dae slapped his arm as she laughed, shaking her head. 

Ho Jung decided to speak, “Originally, Dae didn’t want us to sign to Jin Studios because she didn’t want other groups to think we would be favoritized because she’s both CEO and our leader,” 

She nodded as Ho Jung explained before talking, “I had actually had a lot of people ask me before we didn’t I become a trainee at Jin Studios or why didn’t we sign to the company straight away and it all melted down to issues I had,” 

“Being the CEOs’ daughter and heir, it would have caused issues with other trainees if you trained at Jin studios,” Hyunmoo nodded.

“That was my biggest issue,” Dae nodded, “But, I saw how some of us were struggling and I knew I had the means to help,” 

“Do the other artists think you play favourites?” Sukjin asked.

Yuki shook her head, “Before we signed, Dae sat down with the other groups and had a discussion,” 

“That’s nerve-wracking! Being called to the CEO’s office,” Misun pouted. 

Dae laughed, “If you ask any of my artists, when we have meetings, we don’t have them in conference rooms, we have couches, beanbags, whiteboards, fun stuff in our meeting rooms to negotiate things and I only brought one member of each group into a room all together and discussed with them,” 

“Dae likes to let groups discuss things on their own and not be there,” Tae Sin explained. 

“Why is that?” Jaeseok asked. 

“Because, the group members know each other the best,” She explained “Letting them communicate without the sinking feeling of having an authority figure over them helps them come to a decision better, A lot of people criticize my method but I want to make sure that everyone's wellbeing is safe, people are there because they enjoy music and they have a passion for it, stress kills passion,” 

“You’re very smart for someone so young, were their reasons for signing to your company other than needing a company?” Hyunmoo asked, looking between the group members. 

“TK,” Yuki stated. 

The tattooed rapper bit his lip, “As it’s known, I have a daughter and, I want to be able to spend time with her, she’s very important to me and the schedules we were facing at other companies, I’d barely get to see her and I was getting sick of it, I don’t want my daughter to grow up knowing her dad as only a guy she’d see to say goodnight to her so I spoke to Dae,” 

“He pulled the daughter card on me,” Dae sighed. 

“There was also the issues of Tae Sin’s ex-girlfriends,” Ho Jung butted in. 

The group and hosts all burst into laughter at the male maknae’s comment. 

“You punk!” Tae Sin yelled, “You're the reason I have a dating ban!”

When do they smile the most?

This would depend on what type of smile we’re talking. If it’s a genuine, happy smile, I would say it’s when she’s around anyone she feels close to and feels comfortable—this one can be a little bit rare, or well, not as common if that makes sense. She’ll offer a seemingly genuine, though in reality fake, smile in most normal situations as she plays the sweet and harmless woman—this one is often, though it’s relatively small and not too out there. But in the third type it’s typically when she’s on a switch and she has a target right where she wants them, a smile, or more so smirk, of victory and satisfaction.  (Or sometimes she just smiles knowing she’s gotten under someone’s skin, that kind of sarcastic smile that just says “ha.”)

What mortifies them?

mortify, verb: cause (someone) to feel embarrassed, ashamed, or humiliated.

I’ve been thinking over this question...and she literally has no shame from what she’s inside my head telling me? Unless I suppose it’s something such as crying or seeming “weak” in front of someone, but she would be more angry with herself than mortified. Though I would also feel humiliation is a general reaction to situations, especially in public, that don’t go as planned, but she’s the type that covers a lot of things with anger or agitation rather than show if she really is embarrassed or anything similar. 

Who would they sacrifice for, and how much would they sacrifice?

Kim Mingyu, Ahn Heeyeon, (Jeon Wonwoo), (Ji Sukjin), and Kim Hyoyeon, are the souls at the top of her list currently because they are the ones that she either has or very easily would put herself in harms way for.  She would sacrifice her time, energy, and even life for them without so much as blinking an eye. (Although, she’d much rather sacrifice someone else’s life first, say someone trying to take the life or harm one of these few mentioned, but if it came down to it, she would go down fighting for them.)

Synopsis: Namjoon and Dae on Problematic Men

"We have a reserved seat today," Ji Suk commented.

"Ah, who's guest is it today?" Namjoon asked.

All the men looked between each other before the director said something and their eyes went wide.

"None of us invited them?" Jangwon asked.

"What can we know about them?" Hyunmoo asked.

"She's multilingual, her IQ is very high and she's an idol," The director stated.

"She?" Sukjin asked.

"Ah, we finally have a female guest," Namjoon nodded, "What languages do that speak?"

The director pointed to something before some stage hands walked in and handed all the men sheets of paper.

"Oh my..," Sukjin commented, "How do you learn this many languages?"

"Is it Jin Dae?" Namjoon asked as he looked up.

"What makes you say Jin Dae?" Hyungmin asked.

"Dae and I are sort of close, my group member is dating her group member and she's the only person I can think of that speaks this many languages," Namjoon explained.

"She's the leader of Rebels, right?" Tyler asked.

"Yes," Jungwon nodded, "Please, come on in!"

The six men turned as the door opened, Dae stepping out from behind the door and waving to them all politely. The men all clapped as she sat down next to Namjoon, a soft smile on her face.

"Your out first girl guest," Sukjin commented.

“Yeah, a few people have told me that,” Dae nodded, “It’s funny because you’ve had my boyfriend and dad on this show,” 

“Boyfriend?” Hyungmoo asked. 

“Jackson from GOT7,” Dae explained, “We’ve been dating since 2014, we were trainees together,” 

“Ah, that’s cute,” Jungwon nodded, “Namjoon said that the two of you are close?” 

“Yes, Namjoon and I are both leaders of idol groups and two of our maknaes are dating,” Dae explained, “They’ve been dating since the end of 2013, I believe, so we see each other sometimes, Jackson and Namjoon are also friends so there’s that too,” 

“You speak twelve languages,” Namjoon said as she looked at him, “Wasn’t it that your mother was a language teacher?” 

“How do you know that?” Tyler asked. 

“I think Rap Monster might have a crush on Dae,” Hyungmin teased. 

Namjoon let out a nervous laugh and looked away, Dae laughed slightly and shook  her head. 

“It’s not really unknown,” Dae explained, “My dad is famous, my family are so a lot is known about our family and everyone knows that my Dad married his language tutor and had four children, my brothers and I all speak multiple languages but I’m the only one who went forth and learned a bunch,” 

“How did you learn them all?” Namjoon asked. 

“I have a degree in language studies,” Dae explained, “I’ve been studying languages since I could talk really, my mother is a foreigner so she spoke English and my father is Korean, my mother made sure that my brothers and I could all speak English, Korean, Japanese and Chinese,” 

“So is that why in any interviews with your family your all speaking multiple languages?” Sukjin asked. 

“Yes,” Dae nodded with a proud smile. 

“So, are you studying anything other then languages?” Hyungmin asked. 

“I’m studying science in my free time,” Dae explained, “I’m trying to get into neurology,” 

“Oh wow..,” Namjoon whispered, “Yuki said you were studying but I just thought it was another language,” 

Dae gave Namjoon a soft smile and he gave her one back, a soft look in each other’s eyes.
